This is a quick guide on how to use the RealWear Navigator headset.
The RealWear navigator headset is a wearable Android computer, that uses voice commands for navigation. When you first turn the unit on, you will see the following screen:
To navigate, simply say the words for the icon you wish to open.
Say "My Programs" to open the following window:
All installed applications appear here. To go back a level, say "Navigate Back".
To connect to a Teams call, the RealWear Navigator uses Collaborate, requiring an add-on for MS Teams, available here. Adding the add-on my require an I.T. administrator, contact the I.T. department if you need assistance installing this on your computer.
The RealWear Navigator will have it installed when it is delivered. To open it, say: "Collaborate".
The headset will display the following screen:
Provide the 5-digit code in the section that says "Pass your "Connect to me" code to the expert" to the user you wish to initiate a call with.
For the computer user, open Teams, then in the left side bar look for the following icon:
Click it to open the RealWear Collaborate Navigator window:
Type the provided 5 digit code from the headset into the box and click connect.
On the RealWear Navigator, the following screen will appear:
Say "Accept" to begin the call.
The camera view will show what the headset user is pointing the camera cat. The user can say "Zoom level..." and a number 1-5 to increase the zoom.
In darker or lighter environments you can say "Exposure level" and a number from -2 to 2 to increase or decrease the brightness.
to end the call say "End Call" or the Teams user can end the call on their end.
